July 10: Back from the summer tour! Big thanks to all that came out, all the bands for playing, and all the venues for having me. For a more in depth review of the tour please visit my myspace blog. Careful listeners should also notice that there is a new tune in the listening station. This is pages 15 and 16 from the brand new Comic/CD Death Nouveau Episode 2: Baroque Western. Just like Ep 1: Strange Noir, Ep 2 is a multimedia experience in which the reader of the comic is to also be listening to the included cd. The 25 track audio CD has cowbell signals included to let the reader know when to advance to the next page. This second joint venture with TorC Press is far and away a step beyond what we accomplished with Death Nouveau EP 1 so please head over to the Store and get your copy today, you won't be disappointed.
July 10: Summer tour info is finally up, please check out the shows page for info on when you can see the one man death jazz machine this summer! This is the second in a series of cd/comic books that I'm working on with Torc Press. Check back soon for more details on this one of a kind project.

Most of the dates are courtesy Bloodsoaked, hell of a guy, and all include my brothers in Necropolis. So, check the shows and hopefully I'll see you on the road.
Jan/09: OK, I've finally updated the shows page with my two big gigs of the year thus far. In April I'm rolling down to Russellville, KY to play a special hour long set at the end of the Jesse James Art and International Film Festival. Then on May 9th I'm playing the Thunder of Gods Open Air Festival in Dripping Springs, TX. This is a big deal fest with acts like Putrid Pile, Bloodsoaked, My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult and more. I'm also attempting to book a tour to support the fest, so anyone reading this that wants to help book shows email, drorphyusproject@hotmail.com. Finally, I've put together an Electronic Press kit and have that up in the Videos section.
Nov/08: New show added! The one-man traveling death jazz show will be setting up shop in the old Rural King building at the Village Square Mall in Effingham on Dec 6th. This will be an all ages benefit show, but don't worry they're importing the booze. 6pm to midnight, I'll be rocking along with Buried in Black, Strych9Hollow, and Killinoise probably some others to boot, some come out to hard rock and help your fellow man!
Nov/08: I've finally updated the website! The videos section is packed to capacity with everything my brother and I have done so far. Hector and Reginald is up which completes the Opaque Imagery videos and I've added all of my live videos from Ichabod's and Papa Mikes. Big thanks to everyone who came out and supported the original metal at Papa Mikes. Another show in December is in the works, I'll let everyone know when that gets finalized.
Sept/08: Thanks again to everyone who came out to Ichabod's and rocked out with myself, Buried in Black, and the Maghniffe Heathens. The next scheduled show will be Nov 8th at Papa Mike's in Olney. This is a free show, so come out and drink up so hopefully they'll have us back again. Also, this is going to be an all drum machine show, that's right 4 bands, no drummers, come behold the carnage of technology!!
June/08: The Ichabod's show has been confirmed. Sep 27th yours truly will again be rocking with The Mahgniffe Heathens and Buried In Black. Check back soon for more show updates!
May/08: First of all big thanks again to Friend's and Co and everyone who came and rocked out with me. The gig went well considering everything and I will hopefully be playing there again this fall. Also, I have added a new video to the videos page . It's for the same song that you are hearing in the listening station, Thoughtless Incoherence. Look for this one to be added to the live show, of which I'm still looking for gigs, so if anyone out there wants me to do some rocking with them drop me a line at drorphyusproject@hotmail.com.
April/08: 1 gig booked! May 9th at Friend's and Co. in Charleston the one-man death jazz machine will be rocking alongside Feast By Fire, CPX, and Mahgniffe Heathens. Be there or be square!
March/08: The Live Show is Ready! That's right, after literally years of planning, practicing, and preparing my one-man audio/video live show it's finally ready to rock. Currently @ 30 min long, I'm mostly looking to support other bands at this point. So, if you're a band and happening by the web site feel free to drop me a line drorphyusproject@hotmail.com and let's see about putting together a show. Also, cdbaby.com is now selling The Dr. Orphyus Project mp3's directly on their site. If you'd like to purchase a few please rock over to: http://cdbaby.com/cd/drorphyusproject. Please check back soon and hopefully I'll have some gigs in the Shows section.
Dec/07: OK, all of the Opaque Imagery videos are finally completed and can be viewed on the videos page . The latest installment "They Came from Above" is definately the most involved of the lot and probably mine and art director Joseph Morris' favorite. Enjoy, and luck and time willing there will be more updates to come including more talk of the live show.
May/07: Yup two updates in the same month. Cruise on over to the videos section to see not one but two more crudeamation videos from yours truly with art work and concept design by Joseph Morris. "Everything Works Out in the End" and "Olga from Istanbul" are off of the album Opaque Imagery which you can still obtain a copy of from me or CD Baby.com.
May/07: Wah?!! More updates? That's right. When you own your own studio and are the only member of your band, you can write and record a tune whenever you feel like it. Hence, "Thoughtless Incoherence," which you should be hearing from the Listening Station. This is a web exclusive song that unless it gets picked up by big time record execs will only be heard online. If you dig it you can certainly download it free of charge from myspace because that's how I roll. Also, I have created another gonzo video for "Theme from the Original Motion Picture: The Sawmiller" and that's up for viewing in the videos section of the site and YouTube.
April/07: The web abuse continues! If for whatever reason you don't want to buy Opaque Imagery directly from me, get it at Cd Baby.com. Also, listen to more tunes in their entirety at Pure volume.com. And, if you wanna finally voice your opinion about The Dr. Orphyus Project go to Garageband.com. No doubt more whoring to come!
March/07: Happy New year, 3 months late. The Dr. Orphyus Project has finally changed HQ's and is ready to rock. Updates: VIDEOS VIDEOS VIDEOS!!! Check out the video page or YouTubeto get a face full of movie magic. Also, The Merch page is loaded down with mail order info for anyone who's lacking a Pay Pal account but still wants to rock to Opaque Imagery or Death Nouvea. More updates to come so keep an eye out for The DOP in coming monts.
Sep/06: The Dr. Orphyus Project has completed the video for "HeatePeople" from the album Opaque Imagery. Check it out on myspace or You Tube. If you dig it feel free to share and spread the word.
August/06: The Dr. Orphyus Project on-line store is finally up and running! Go to the Merch section to purchase both of The DOP's releases: Opaque Imagery and Death Nouvea Episode 1: Strange Noir. Also, the listening station has been updated with tracks 2, 9, 6, and 16 from Death Nouvea.
July/06: Finally an update and a new song in the listening station. What you're hearing is Heatepeople, another installment from Opaque Imagery, which by the way, time is running out to get free. If you haven't gotten one yet email quick or otherwise you'll have to pay for a copy in the future (it's still only gonna be like 5 bucks). More importantly, the much heralded cd comic cross over from TorC Press and The DOP is inching closer to release. Entitled: Death Nouvea Episode 1: Strange Noir, this 24 page comic/25 track cd (one extra track for closing credits) is a tandem listening and viewing experience. Ultimately the reader/listener should view every page with the corresponding track on the cd. We feel like this is an original concept that our listeners and readers should enjoy. Check out myspace for a preview of some of the songs from Strange Noir as well as additional info about the project.
April/06: Track 3 from Opaque Imagery, A 3 Minute Epic, is currently playing over in the Listening Station. Additionally, 15 tracks for the next release have been composed and partially recorded. Stay tuned for a detailed explanation of the new album in future posts. Finally, if you would like up to date The Dr. Orphyus Project info via email, fill out the form in the listening station.
March/06: I've added some new tunes over on my myspace. One of which is ICU from the debut EP heard by about 7 people. So, if you want to be one of those super cool guys to say they have ALL of The Dr. Orphyus Project's music, I'd suggest downloading it today.
